CUCIL'S 2008 5K RACE SUCCESS STORY

 Felicitaciones a Oswaldo Rodríguez ~

Es un niño excepcional de diez años de edad y es residente de Orem, Utah. Nosotros conocimos a Oswaldo cuando sus padres, en el 2004, vinieron a CUCIL  y el centro les ayudó a obtener un andador y una máquina de hacer ejercicio, ya que este niño tenía un impedimento que no lo dejaba caminar. Por medio de esas ayudas técnicas, Oswaldo, ha podido tener más movilidad y con el esfuerzo, auto-eficiencia y el apoyo de sus padres, él ha podido prevalecer su carencia. Este mes pasado lo vimos participar en una carrera de cinco kilómetros que se llama “CUCIL 6ta. Carrera Anual de Correr, Caminar y Rodar de 5Klm”  donde, con su familia, él caminó la distancia de la carrera. 

La carrera de CUCIL  le ofreció a OswaldoRodríguez una oportunidad de demostrar que con perseverancia… ¡el “triunfo” se logra!

 Congratulations to Oswaldo Rodriguez~

This little fellow is an exceptional ten-year-old boy from Orem, Utah.  We got to know Oswaldo when his parents, in the 2004, came to CUCIL and the center helped him obtain a walker and a treadmill. At that time Oswaldo could not walk, but through the use of those technical aids, effort, self-determination, and along with his parent faith, he has been able to have more mobility and overcome his limitations. This past month we saw him participate in a race! Walking the CUCIL’s 6th Annual 5K Run, Walk, and Roll race was an inspiration for so many people that believed in him. This race offered Oswaldo Rodriguez an opportunity to show us that we perseverance…triumph is achieved!
